Sponsored Residential providers are individuals or families who desire to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. The individual is carefully selected and matched with you and your family’s needs and lifestyle.

As the provider you open your home to individuals, providing care, supports and skill building. Supporting an individual includes taking them to medical appointments, taking them out into the community, assisting them with gaining new home or community skills and achieving goals. It is important that the individual is comfortable and safe.

As a sponsor family you are evaluated and trained to support an individual with disabilities that has a waiver.

The sponsor family is also supported and supervised by Friend Village, the licensed agency.

Training and Development Opportunities are ongoing and available to ensure that you are fulfilling your responsibilities.

You will be generously compensated for providing care and will receive a housing stipend.
